CID age 4-6

“Creative Intro to Dance” builds on the movement skills learned from LD. Children explore footwork patterns to combine with their upper body movements. Isolated movement practice (waving/Egyptian tut/robot) adds an extra layer of creativity for the children to explore!

YD age 7-10

“Young Dancers” kicks it up into high gear! Here, children will be challenged to build their coordination and physical abilities to help take their dance to the next level. They’ll find more rhythmic variations in the movement, and routines tend to be a little longer to give them a good workout! Of course, they will be doing all of this with a focus on having fun and feeling cool!

JD age 10-13

“Junior Dancers” is geared towards our experienced dancers or for older children who prefer a physical challenge! Choreography is faster-paced and harder-hitting. There is a greater emphasis on foundational movement details, dance history, and core muscle training to support not only the physical aspect of dance but the understanding of it as well!

ADV by skill and experience

“Advance” is for children who want to take their dance training to the highest level!

Children learn routines in multiple street genres that would give even adult dancers a challenge! Instructors really work with each student to help explore their unique personalities in dance. At this level, at-home practice is mandatory.

Contemporary

Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical, and classical ballet. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements. Contemporary dance stresses versatility and improvisation, unlike the strict, structured nature of ballet.

Street Dance / Hip-Hop

Children learn multiple explosive styles born from Hip Hop, Funk, a Disco music. Children will learn steps in Hip Hop, Waacking, Locking, Dancehall, Street Jazz, and Popping just to name a few. These moves are often what you see in music videos!

Breakdance (aka Breaking)

A dance style originating out of Brooklyn, New York! Children will learn dynamic floor movement, footwork, and "freezes". Why is it called "breaking"? Because dancers would dance to the "break" of a song!

Ballet

A classical dance form demanding grace and precision and employing formalized steps and gestures set in intricate, flowing patterns to create expression through movement. Ballet boosts concentration, improves focus, memory, and learning. Ballet develops an understanding of music and rhythm which can improve body awareness and physical self-control.
